My Dad fought in the Korean War. He was shot in the back by a sniper. Everyday, since my earliest childhood memory, I remember my Dad rising up in pain.

He would grab a pair of crutches and go to work.

I’ve never been in a war, my eye site is bad. I wanted to join during Vietnam but, no go . . .

Our nation has seen war, my uncles were in WW2 and came home; many did not.

I don’t know why wars are fought but, Ive known I have seen brave men and women that have gone and died, for one reason FREEDOM!

From the Civil War to Desert Storm, we have seen and know that good people died for their country.

Let,s remember the cost of our freedom.

Lord, help us this day to not forget those who have gone before us! Amen!!!
