Desire, what is desire? Webster says it is to long for, a sexual appetite. How much is your desire for God, do you long for Him? Our understanding of a complete relationship has been clouded by the fall of man. We are to seek God as if our lives depend on it. Have your ever been lust in a desert, thirsty and no water? Your mouth feels like it’s filled with cotton, it ‘s so dry. Your lips are dry and cracked, probably swollen. You would almost do anything for a drop of water. That’s the kind of desire I’m talking about and it does not come easily! It takes work and effort on your part to get to that place. Like the man in the desert, to get thirsty he first must put forth an effort or he will die from thirst. Where is your desire, are you putting forth an effort in your relationship with Him? He longs for us to be at a place of total surrender to Him, you can get there but first you must cultivate desire. RL
